What is a good website/domain hosting site?

I am wondering what a good website is to create my own web page and also make my own web address? I make and sell things at farmers markets and I have had customers ask if I have a website where I sell my items also. I don’t need anything big and fancy or elaborate. Just something to place photos of my items and put my contact info. I also want to be able to make the website address the name of my business….any good free ones out there? Searched google but not sure if any certain ones are better or if some are bad. Thanks for the help.

I personally use GoDaddy with no complaints. I can set up a site in minutes and add a number of features including a Shopping Cart that accepts paypal, etc.

I also know people who registered through the UserFriendly link to Register4less. I haven’t so I can’t make a recommendationthere.

I personally use DreamHost to host all my websites. I haven’t had any issues with them. Since your site will be a basic site with not much content then I recommend you to use them. Their prices are pretty reasonable too. I also suggest adding Google Adsense, Clickbank, or Affiliate ads on your website to make some revenue on the side.

For building your website, I would suggest using Content Management Systems like WordPress. There’s plenty of free themes and premium themes that you can find on the internet.

You can host your own by going to no-ip and using Xamp from sourceforge.net

As you may know a domain name is just a name, not a real website. If you are going to create your website: 1- Buy a domain name. A domain name is a name you want to call your website (ex: http://www.yahoo.com). To get a domain name, you have to pay an annual fee to a registrar for the right to use that name. 2- Buy a web hosting service to provide your online space and enable you to get your website online at your purchased domain name.

You need a web hosting service which supports online payments like, Master Card, Visa & PayPal. It is very important that your service be uptime. It means that you can access your account whenever you want to update your web pages, and your visitors can view your website whenever they type your website address. If your hosting service is not uptime it is real hell!

If you want to start your website I recommend purchase your domain and hosting together. In this way it is possible to get your domain for free. Some hosting services offer this gift today.

    Take a look at:

There you can reach the three reputable companies that are leaders in the E-commerce web hosting industry. They fulfill all your requirements to sell online or do/accept any online payments. By using each of them, everything you need for such a website is provided in one business Hosting Package.

My recommended service which is very easy to use:

    Hope this helps.
